TRAINING PLANS

If you would like a training plan we do have access to training plans in PDF form. They are typically 8 or 12 week plans and have 3 levels Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced, and are available for Sprint, Standard, 70.3 and Full Ironman distances. If interested email president@tripeaks.ca

SWIM WORKOUTS

Masters swim classes run by the North Van or West Van Recreation Centers are well attended by our members. In particular Monday and Wednesday evenings at 8h30pm at Ron Andrews the Masters are oriented to triathletes (i.e. mostly freestyle). Go to http://www.northvanrec.com/ for more details.

VOWSA Open water swims will start late May/early June and are great for people who need to practice ocean swimming in particular. Under the events there are two Canaqua swims and a VOWSA Canada Day event at Sasamat, which are great opportunities to practice with the benefits of lifeguards etc

BIKE WORKOUTS

Tuesday night rides: 6:30 PM under the Lions Gate Bridge (North end near the RV Park). Groups will be formed based on route and pace.

Saturday rides: 8:00 AM typically under the Lions Gate Bridge but may vary (check TeamSnap for details) . Various distances and paces.

In the Winter, depending on demand, Spin classes are organized, (again check TeamSnap for details)

Notes:

-Bike rides are being organized through TeamSnap. As the weather warms we’re hoping to get out for regular Tuesday and weekend rides.
– All riders should be self sufficient and come with spare tubes, a pump, lights and a cell phone.

RUN WORKOUTS

Wednesday and Saturday Workouts: Tripeaks members have free access to the ForeRunners Marathon/Half Marathon training sessions at 6h20pm Wednesday evenings and 8am Saturday mornings. Come join us for a mix of hill, track and road workouts.
